Trip 1: The morning trip left the SLO Amtrak station at 6:50 am on the Surfliner. After about an hour's stop in Santa Barbara, riders boarded the luxurious Overland Trail Lounge Car (see above) and had a buffet lunch on the return trip to SLO, where they arrived about 1pm.
Trip 2: On the afternoon trip, riders boarded the Pacific Trail private passenger car, leaving SLO at 1:55 pm, where they enjoyed the beautiful scenery while they participated in Valentine-themed activities and enjoyed the candy treats. The return from Santa Barbara was on the evening Surfliner, arriving in SLO at 8:30pm.
