Art After Dark at the SLO Railroad Museum

On Friday evening July 7, 2017 The San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum (SLORRM) will join the SLO Art After Dark program as a new venue. Located in SLO’s Railroad Historic District, the SLORRM is inviting artists in all visual media to display and sell their railroad-themed art. Paintings, photography, sculpture and more — if it relates to trains and railroading, we welcome your presentation.

Free Parking surrounds the Museum in the public lots. Snacks and beverages will be provided by the Museum.

Call for Artists

  • Artist check in/set up time: 4:00 PM
  • The museum will provide two 6-foot tables for flat or 3-dimensional objects.
  • Artists with paintings and photographs to be hung are advised to bring their own easels or folding panel/walls for hanging their works. The museum is unable to put nails for hanging in its walls.
  • Artists may sell their work directly to the visitors. Artists will need to conduct (and keep) all sales transactions on their own; the Museum's credit card processor will not be available. Artists need to register with the museum by June 7, 2017. Please email Saphya Lotery with name, contact information, artistic medium, number of works to be shown, and an assurance that you have your own easels and hanging supplies.
