Work Day:
Move from Emily Street Yard

January 10, 2024

Today workers from the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum removed more material from the Emily Street Yard. The City of SLO owns the street and now has new plans for it. Spare 90-pound rail stored in the yard had already been moved to a spot alongside the display track at the Museum. The remainder was donated to the Santa Maria Valley Railroad and was being moved out today. In addition to rail being moved today, a Southern Pacific cement phone booth was moved to an outdoor display area closer to the Museum.
