When we're open...

When the Museum is open to live and in-person visitors, there are the following limitations. These rules are subject to change on a daily basis. If you have any concerns or doubts, please contact us on the day of your visit to understand the current limitations. The Gift Shop phone number is 805-548-1894 and select option 8.

• Regular hours are Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Per current CDC guidelines, all visitors and docents must wear a mask when inside the museum or any of the rail cars. Vaccinated visitors do not have to wear a mask when viewing the outdoor areas.
• Staff will not be asking for verification of vaccination, this will be done entirely on an honor-based system
• There will no longer be capacity limits for the museum or museum store
• Social distancing guidelines will not be required for guests
• Model Railroad and outdoor exhibits will be open as normal, depending upon volunteer availability
